Our goal is to support your business by removing obstacles to prosperity, creating healthy and comfortable workstations, and developing an efficient flow of interaction between and among employees, customers, vendors and guests. If your business in the retail, hospitality or specialty services sectors, we will also examine how the public spaces in your building relate to your brand, with a special emphasis on the practical flow of the customer/guest experience.

Whether you are moving to a new space, renovating your current space, or simply buying some new furniture, we can support the health of your business by attending to the physical location where your business lives and grows.

Frequently Asked Questions
We always begin with a complimentary consultation on the telephone, to discuss your needs and understand the scope of your project. In most cases, the next step will be a 2-hour consultation on-site, but it is also common to start with an informational seminar for management and key employees. If multiple design professionals are involved in the project, sometimes it is useful to schedule an initial "meet-and-greet" to clarify roles and discuss the workflow. Since it really depends on your project, please do call so we can discuss how we might be able to help you. There is no cost and no obligation for this initial conversation. Once we have mutually agreed on a general approach, all services are billed at the rate of $150-175/hour depending on the consultant.
Yes. The very best time to incorporate feng shui principles is at the construction stage, when you have a unique opportunity to improve the energy flow in your space. We can also help you select finishes with a specific eye to create a harmonious balance of the elements. If you are still in the early stages of planning your project, we can help you find an architectural firm and construction company with experience in the specific type of project you are planning.
Generally, we will help you come up with a "first draft" configuration and then bring in a commercial furniture broker to draw up the specifics. If there are elements in the space which require a more residential feel, we can also introduce you to brokers who specialize in this area of design. You will not need to visit a showroom to select furniture and accessories. Everything can be handled at your place of business.
Yes, we offer short "lunchtime" talks (30 minutes), 2-3 hour classes, and full-day intensives. Sometimes companies sponsor our classes for their employees as a fun "perk." We have done seminars for merchandising and marketing teams at large corporations, and inspirational talks at trade shows. Our classes can even be used as part of your overall marketing strategy for bringing people into your retail store, day spa, clinic, B&B or restaurant. If classes are open to the general public, we can help you promote them through our sizeable mailing list.
Yes, a number of our clients are sole proprietors whose home offices serve as their central hub of business activity. For more information about home office consultations, please visit our residential services page.
We can, but in most cases, we don't recommend it. For residential spaces, staging is an excellent investment, but for commercial spaces we utilize other feng shui methods that are more effective (and usually less expensive).
All the time! This can be a powerful and effective way to move past a difficult challenge such a lawsuit, a series of layoffs, discovery of internal fraud, or other serious problems within a business. It can also be useful if you are moving into a new location, where the previous business was not successful. Please call us for more information.
Every consultant's schedule is different, but for the most part we are open to traveling anywhere in the United States, and occasionally beyond. Our day rate for locations outside California is $1500 per day per consultant, plus travel expenses. This fee purchases 8 hours of focused time per day, which may be divided into consulting time, speaking time and/or meetings, depending on the needs of the client. The minimum fee for travel varies by consultant and destination.
