In most cases, we begin with a complimentary consultation on the telephone, to discuss your needs and understand the scope of your project. If you feel comfortable moving forward, the next step would be a 2-hour consultation at your home, which is billed on an hourly basis. Rates vary by consultant, but the price will be in the range of $150-175 / hour. During this meeting, your consultant will provide you with an abundance of ideas relating to furniture configuration and overall flow, color, visual images, lighting, feng shui adjustments, and other recommendations.

In some cases, one consultation is all that is needed to gain the inspiration you need. If your home is large, or you are planning a more significant remodeling or redecorating project, you may want some ongoing support. It is totally up to you, and you can decide what you want as the process unfolds.

You are more than welcome to do an audio recording of the consultation, but most of our clients find that it is more useful to take written notes. There will be quite a lot of discussion during a consultation, and sometimes we will be physically moving things around in the space.
Upon request, we are happy to issue a follow-up report which contains an overview of recommendations discussed in the consultation. The cost is $75, and the document can be sent you via email or regular mail, as you prefer.
Yes, color consulting represents a huge portion of our business. We can assist you in selecting an interior and/or exterior color palette without doing a full feng shui overview of the space.
Definitely! In fact, the very best time to incorporate feng shui principles into your home is at the pre-construction phase. At these times, you have a unique opportunity to improve the overall energy flow in your space. In addition to space planning, we can help you select finish materials with an eye to creating a harmonious balance of the elements. If you are still in the process of building your team, we can also help you find a great architect and/or contractor who are experienced at working on the type of project you are considering
If you are making structural changes, such a second-story addition, an addition to the back or side of your house, removing or reconfiguring interior walls, or embarking on new construction of any kind, we strongly encourage you to work with an architect.

If you are simply updating a tired kitchen or bathroom, you may not need an architect, but you will benefit from formal drawings outlining your cabinet and appliance configuration, lighting design, placement of all light switches and electrical outlets, as well as a detailed specification sheet documenting any finishes that will be used in the new design. We can produce these documents in-house at a reasonable cost. Please call us early in the process. The earlier we are involved, the more effective we can be at helping you reduce costs and orchestrate a successful project. It is very common for people call after things are going the wrong way, and by that time they are already extremely stressed and exhausted and way over budget. Careful planning is the "preventive medicine" of the building industry! By strengthening your plan, reviewing your product list, and bolstering your agreements, we can protect your family from a lot of unnecessary trauma, and support you in getting the outcome you desire.

The feng shui of any room is intimately connected to the overall flow of energy in your neighborhood, as well as your entire building, so it is really ill-advised to ignore those influences. Yes. We can help re-arrange existing furnishings and re-accessorize the space, or bring in all new furnishings and accessories to a space that is currently empty. You will find that our rates are quite reasonable compared to other staging services. We also stage home for parties and special events.
